4 Must Have Tools for your Fantasy Football Toolbox

During my many years of playing fantasy football I have come across some very useful tools that I stash in my Fantasy Tool Box. Season after season these tools have helped me build multiple championship teams.

And now, I will share some of these tools with you to help you stay on top of anything and everything regarding your fantasy players.

1. Bleacher Report App

Fantasy Football Tools Bleacher Report

Before you read any further, do yourself a favor and get the Bleacher Report App, like right now.

Once this app is loaded up on your smartphone or tablet all you have to do is sit back and wait for the magic to happen.

This BR App covers everything sports and it lets you customize what trending or breaking news alerts you want to receive.

You can customize a favorite team as well as (wait for it…..wait for it…) easily sync your fantasy teams directly from your fantasy league provider.

The best part is that once your teams are synced with the app, it automatically alerts you with any breaking news regarding your players.

So let’s say you have a player that is hurt and is questionable to play. If you have the BR App, once any news regarding his status for the upcoming game comes out it, you’ll get a notification on your phone or tablet giving you the info you need to make a roster decision.t

When that notification arrives you can either rest assured your player will be active or decide if you need to hit the waiver wire to pick up a replacement or just sit him on the bench.

The best part is that there’s no need to constantly refresh a fantasy football website looking for the breaking news. The Bleacher Report App will push the breaking news to you as it happens!

2. Twitter

It’s 2014 and you’re still not on Twitter? What are you waiting for?! I have found that most breaking news is heard first on, you guessed it, the Twitter!

I’ve noticed that Twitter has become one of the first tools people turn to when looking for the latest news on any and all topics, including sports.

One suggestion I have is to make sure that you follow some of the top NFL Fantasy insiders and experts. This will make it much easier on you so you won’t have to do so much searching, you can just sit back and let the information come to you.

Some people worth following are ESPN Analyst Stephanie Bell (great for injury updates), ESPN’s Adam Schefter, ESPN Fantasy Analyst Matthew Berry heck you can even follow me at @jeremy2233!

There are literally tons more fantasy experts you can search out that will get you the latest fantasy news and much more.

3. Your League Page

Fantasy Football Tools Yahoo

Whether your league is an ESPN, Yahoo, CBS Sportsline, NFL.COM, your league is a descent tool to use to keep you up on the latest news.

You can select a player on your team to view News/Notes/Stats or maybe your player has a little box next to his name. This usually means that there is some sort of recent news available on this player. It might not be helpful or really meaningful but its a best practice to make sure you check it out.

4. Fantasy Websites

Fantasy Football Tools Rotowire

Sports Blog Nation, Rotowire, FantasyPros and Rotoworld are just a few of the websites out there that are great for fantasy news, tips and tricks.

From waiver wire pickups to sleepers to possible injury replacements – these websites have you covered.

Oh, and each of these sites are active on Twitter as well, so make sure you follow them too!

Use these tools to stay on top of all of the latest fantasy news and get all of the fantasy advice you can handle!

These tools will give you the leg up on the competition because now you will be the first to know all of the breaking Fantasy News as it happens in real time.

I don’t know about you but I love being the first one to the waiver wire to pick up that suddenly coveted player and you can then sit back and think of the rest of your league scrambling to the waiver wire only to see they are too late.

Do you have any tools in your fantasy toolbox that you want to share? Post them in the comments section below!
