The Chevrolet Blazer is returning to the GM line-up with its newest 2019 model. However, a lot has changed since its first iteration in 1969. The new model promises to bring a host of new features and upgrades to the table. Here is what you can expect to see in the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer.
There are three distinct trim packages; Blazer L / Blazer, Blazer RS, and Blazer Premier. The Blazer L / Blazer package is described as having a sleek and sporty look. Blazer RS will come with a blacked-out appearance, red accents, and a unique grille. The top of the line Blazer Premier will come decked out with bright chrome accents and more refined appointments. These trim packages offer distinct styling to suit any customers preferences.
Taking influence from the Chevrolet Camaro, the Blazer has a big grille, tall hood, skinny headlights, and high rear haunches. The Blazer also features other interior similarities with the Camaro like the round air vents in the center council. Dual-zone climate controls are standard with panoramic roof and hands-free power lift gate as additional options.
There will be two engine types offered for the Blazer. A 2.5L 4-CYL engine that will be standard on the Blazer L / Blazer and a 3.6L V6 engine that will be standard on the Blazer Leather, Blazer RS, and Blazer Premier.
The Blazer sets itself apart from other midsize SUVs by having two rows of seating. This allows a max seating of 5 people, however it allows for greater cargo space when the back seats are folded down. The available Cargo Management System can help keep items secure while you are driving. The second row can also be moved back for more rear-seat legroom for long trips. This versatility allows it to compete with mid-sized and compact SUVs alike.
The front-seat is provided with a spacious driver-focused interior. The controls are conveniently located to help driver remain comfortable, while premium leather-appointed and suede microfiber seating surfaces elevate the drive experience. The driver will also be treated to conveniences like an available automatic heated steering wheel.
The New 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is a worthy addition to the SUV line. We eagerly await its 4th quarter roll out at the LaFontaine Chevrolet of Dexter
