Hyundai Has The Back Of Furloughed Federal Employees

Hyundai, known for always keeping their customers best interests in mind, just announced two new programs to assist furloughed federal employees.

Hyundai has modified it’s Assurance Program so that furloughed federal workers who are current Hyundai owners will be provided relief from their lease or purchase payments for as long as they are out of work.

“We recognize the impact on family budgets that the furlough will drive,” said John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America. “Like we did almost four years ago when we launched Hyundai Assurance, this is our way of saying ‘We’ve got your back’ during this uncertain time.”

The second program Hyundai introduced is a plan which allows furloughed federal employees who wish to buy a car in October the option to defer their payments for 90 days.

There are thousands of federal workers here in Michigan who will not get paid during the government shutdown. The team at LaFontaine Hyundai in Dearborn is committed to helping any furloughed federal employee who needs assistance with these new programs.
