Earlier this week, Kelley LaFontaine, Vice President of LaFontaine Automotive Group, joined an esteemed panel of fellow dealers at the Women in Automotive Conference in Los Angeles, California. The “Women Dealer Panel” featured engaging commentary from four dealership panelists on how they got their start in the car dealer business and their personal journey to executive leadership and ownership.
“Be a forward thinker and always be open to new ideas. In the automotive industry you face a lot of change and it can often be unexpected. As opposed to panicking and wasting time worrying, embrace the challenges that are presented to you and I will tell you that you’ll come out better on the other end,” said Kelley LaFontaine when asked what advice would you give to future leaders in automotive.
The focus of the 2018 winter conference was to educate and empower women and men in the automotive community through leadership and trends that impact employment and sales growth. The Women in Automotive conference looks to fill a gap in the automotive industry through its educational and empowering content. The goal is to move the automotive industry forward as it relates to the most influential segment of the market: women.
“More than 300 professionals from across the country attended the inaugural Women in Automotive Conference in 2015, and over 400 attended each in our 2016 & 2017 events. We expect our numbers to grow at an exponential rate in our 2018 events,” said Christy Roman, Women in Automotive Founder.
