LaFontaine Automotive Group today launched its “Care for our Community” initiative aimed at supporting businesses by encouraging consumers to responsibly shop local.
“Through these challenging times, we realize quickly just how much we depend on each other and that we’re all part of one greater family,” said Kelley LaFontaine, VP, LaFontaine Automotive Group. “Community outreach and support has been a pillar of our Group for nearly 40 years, spearheaded by my mom, Maureen LaFontaine, when she and my dad opened their first dealership in 1980.”
LaFontaine Automotive Group will match consumers’ local business purchases made between March 25, 2020 and May 31, 2020, dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000 towards the purchase or lease of a new in-stock vehicle or dollar-for-dollar up to $500 towards the purchase of any preowned in-stock vehicle.
“We’re all in this together,” said Ryan LaFontaine, COO, LaFontaine Automotive Group. “We know firsthand the struggles local business are going through, and as a true community partner, we feel this initiative will inspire consumers to continue to responsibly support these businesses in need and ultimately benefit the entire community.”
With 17 retail locations across Michigan, LaFontaine’s “Care for our Community” will benefit dozens of communities and countless local businesses.
“Our employees brainstormed to see how we as a family-owned, local business, can help others in this time of need,” added Kelley. “I’m truly moved by their heartfelt ideas and in the end, our ‘Care for our Community’ initiative perfectly aligned with our Group’s mission; ‘Build lifelong relationships that connect families, strengthen communities and personalize the automotive experience’.”
