If you’ve been listening to 102.9 W4 Country lately, you may have heard that mid-day show host, Lori Rigato, is driving around town in a 2014 Buick Encore courtesy of LaFontaine Buick GMC of Ann Arbor.

I just talked to Lori during our Kiss The Car event, and she’s definitely enjoying what the Encore has to offer in a compact SUV.

Now before I get into the exciting plans we have for a new video series, I need to be 100% transparent with you and disclose a few details of this partnership.

The (not so) Small Print

LaFontaine Buick GMC of Ann Arbor advertises with 102.9 W4 Country. Over the years we’ve found that the W4 listening audience is a perfect match for all the LaFontaine dealerships in Washtenaw County.

As a part of our advertising agreement we’re supplying W4 radio personality, Lori Rigato, with a complimentary vehicle to drive around town.

On the other side of the partnership, Cumulus Media (who owns and operates W4) is allowing Lori to share her thoughts on the vehicle she is driving with her on-air listeners and social media followers.

What Does It Mean For You?

I’m sure you’ve heard radio DJs do “live reads” where they tout the benefits of doing business with a particular dealership. We’ve done that too in the past, but having a person read a script just doesn’t have the same impact as a video.

Make no mistake. This isn’t about giving Lori a car to drive and then asking her to sing the praises of it to you, her attentive audience.

This is about Lori making a one-to-one connection with each person who watches one of her videos.

You see, even though there’s a lot to like about the 2014 Buick Encore (and I mean A LOT!) – I know that things like drive quality, overall comfort, ease of use and ergonomics can be quite subjective from person to person.

Dave Bozak introduces Lori Rigato to the 2014 Buick Encore.

A feature on a vehicle that’s overwhelmingly difficult to use for one person can be the most intuitive thing in the world for another.

So as we continue down the road in this video series, I’m asking Lori to share her honest thoughts on the vehicle she is driving. No script, no coaching, just honest feedback based on her actual experience.

That way when you are in the market for a new car, you can rest assured that you’re getting a straight story from Lori about the vehicle she is driving.

The First Video

In this very first video David Bozak, a sales professional at LaFontaine Buick GMC of Ann Arbor, delivers a 2014 Buick Encore to Lori.

After demonstrating a few of the features Lori described as most important, Dave sends Lori out on the road so she can get to know her vehicle that much better.

Lori is genuinely excited about driving the Encore, and has even posted a couple videos of her experience with it on her Facebook Page.

Keeping It Real

After Lori has around 1,000 miles on her Buick Encore, we will get together to have a in-depth conversation about the vehicle.

We’ll then touch base every 1,000 miles or so (roughly once per month) to check in and see how things are coming along.

After 3,000 miles, we’ll put Lori in another vehicle from LaFontaine Buick GMC of Ann Arbor and start all over again.

Remember, the goal here is to give you the opportunity to watch an unbiased and unfiltered vehicle review from someone you know and trust.
