Now in its fifth year of supporting Washtenaw County’s “Teacher of the Year” program, LaFontaine Automotive Group is proud to recognize teachers going above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of their students.
In May of 2022, LaFontaine awarded Teacher of the Year, Lauren Fardig-Diop, from ACE Charter School in Ypsilanti with a two-year lease of a beautiful GMC Terrain! Lauren shared stories with her students, along with a quote of best wishes and words to live by; “You don’t become who you want to be by remaining the same. Keep growing and continue to encourage the kids to keep growing, too. Aim to live happy and healthy lives.” – Lauren Fardig-Diop
Puja Mullins from Brick Elementary School in Ypsilanti was named Most Distinguished Teacher of the Year, and LaFontaine awarded her $1,000 towards classroom supplies. In addition, Kimberly Reik from Saline Middle School was named the Most Commendable Teacher of the Year, and LaFontaine awarded her $500 towards classroom supplies.
“On behalf of LaFontaine Automotive, we’re proud to recognize and reward these deserving teachers,” said Quaila Pant, Grassroots Marketing Manager, LaFontaine Automotive Group. “These teachers go above and beyond in the classroom and community and it means so much to be able to recognize them for that.”
