The all new Jeep Gladiator takes on the Great Lakes

Whether you’re taking a weekend road trip or off-roading to parts unknown there is no better experience then the ride along M-22. It truly is Pure Michigan at its finest.

The northern Michigan trek can provide you with rolling sand dunes, countless beaches, lighthouses and the best of all the turquoise water that is absolutely breathtaking.

There is no better way to experience summer on M-22 than with an open-air Jeep experience, especially in the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, courtesy of LaFontaine CDJR Fenton. The Gladiator is ready to carry you, your gear and friends as you swing down the sweeping hills on M-22 and take in the picturesque landscape.

One of the best stops along M-22 is a small town, Onekama, known for its two lakes, Portage Lake and Lake Michigan. Along the coast you will find small town shops, beautiful parks, and of course the Artesian Well on Portage Point Drive. The well’s water is some of the most pure in Michigan and people from all over are lined up just to fill up and get refreshed.

Continuing north on M-22 after hitting the small city of Acadia is Inspiration Point, a iconic stopping point for the views of Lake Michigan.

Put your walking shoes on and travel up the 120-step staircase to the top lookout and gaze out on one of the most breathtaking views that truly defines “Pure Michigan.”

Next stop on the trip  is the world famous Arcadia Bluffs golf course, featuring two eighteen-hole courses. Arcadia Bluffs was founded in 1999 on the windswept bluffs overlooking 3100 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline. The original Bluffs Course resembles a seaside links course with rolling terrain, natural fescues, and panoramic views of beautiful Lake Michigan. The Bluffs offers players a world-class golfing experience unlike anything in The United States.

As you venture into the next town on M-22 you’ll run right into Frankfort, nestled right along the shores of Lake Michigan, with the pier home to the North Breakwater Lighthouse. Not only is it home to many lighthouses, but also for the pristine dunes, beaches and sunset views from the shore.

We were able to accomplish this entire Pure Michigan experience behind the wheel of the Gladiator in 48 hours! Take notes, grab your friends and remember, where the road ends, a Jeeps adventure begins!
