The 2019 Mustang Shelby GT350 performance enhancements include improved aerodynamics that reduces drag with the new spoiler and adds down force with new available Gurney flap installed, new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, plus chassis and anti lock brake turning for dramatically greater grip. To complement this the standard MagneRide active suspension has re calibrated springs and revised damping to take full advantage of the improvements.
Braking power has been improved upon as well with six-piston front and four-piston rear caliper Brembo™ brakes. Increase control and stability is provided by Shelby GT350’s electric power-assist steering and three-mode electronic stability control settings.
Driver for the FIA World Endurance Ford GT and IMSA Mustang GT programs, Billy Johnson, has brought his expertise to the Shelby GT350 for 2019. The Shelby GT350 is equipped with an exclusive high-revving 5.2 liter V8 delivers 526 horsepower and 429 lbs.-ft of torque. It is still the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever.
The interior treats drivers to customers to a comfortable cockpit. Key features include an aluminum instrument panel appliqué with an available exposed carbon fiber version, A leather-wrapped center console, Standard Recaro race seats, power-adjustable seating is available with Miko suede inserts for those looking for added comfort. The Shelby GT350 is also outfitted with a 12–speaker B&O PLAY audio system that is controlled by a standard 8-inch SYNC® 3 touch screen that features SiriusXM and FordPass™ Connect.
Color options have been expanded as well, with Velocity and Ford Performance Blue now available. If you feel like being more flashy there is the option to add racing stripes in high-gloss Shadow Black, Oxford White or Kona Blue.
